Last night my BIL gave me a 1892 Winchester, .32WCF, c.1910. Unfortunately, its a fire-damaged gun. The action is seized. Hammer moves but won't stay cocked. And, of course, the stock and fore-end were ruined. His idea was I could combine my woodworking skill with firearms interest to restock the gun and make it a complete, non-functioning wall-hanger. To be clear: I don't want to restore it to shoot it; just make it "whole" (more-or-less).
Have to hunt down either a pattern for stocks or some almost-ruined old stocks for it.
