My son gave me a very nice gift for Christmas last year...a gently used S&W 586.

I put Pacmayrs on it, but it came with wooden grips

Got to love a .357 Magnum with a serial number that reads BADxxxx

Thanks, guys. I have great sons who are also great shooting companions.

Awesome gun and gift. Very soft shooting .357 and good lookin to boot!

From a utilitarian standpoint, I prefer the L-frame Smiths to the Colt Python. The Python's double-action trigger pull "stacks" as you squeeze the trigger and the lockwork seems to be more delicate than the Smith's.

Add to that they K-frame size grip and it is a real winner.

Thanks, guys.

I love S&W revolvers and the 586 is my favorite. Have a 4" that is balls-on accurate and have always wanted a 6" version.
