I just wrote my christmas list, here it goes...

A remington 870 express 12 gauge 21'' rifled(or maybe smoothbore iron sighted) slug barrel and 26'' smoothbore combo.(the ultimate deer and pheasant combo )

a receiver mounted scope base.

a scope with see through mounts

and a good set of binoculars

So, whats on your christmas list??

I've bought about $20 worth of raffle tickets this month.

First prize on the Huron Sportsman Assn. raffle is an 870 Combo to be raffled off on December 2nd.

First prize on the Knights of Columbus Council 3078 Rod and Gun raffle is a Rapid River Skinner knife valued at $125 to be raffled off on December 1st.

Either one of these would make a fine Christmas gift for me.

BTW, don't be surprised if that 26" smooth bore measures just slightly over 25". Unless its a 18.5" bbl, Remington seems to have some questionable tape measures .

i'm just asking people to buy me stuff i need at this point, so i can have enough money for a nice 20ga semi. which i'm getting so i can get my mom, girlfriend, other ladies and kids in my life into clay. i originally wanted to get an O/U 20ga for myself, but i realized a nice light semi would fit the bill better. ever the altruist, i suppose.

i'd like to get a compact semi-auto rifle in an intermediate caliber as well, but i'm increasingly realizing that there is no gun out there that fits the bill. basically want a reliable mini-30 with a heavy non-ruger barrel. it's doable, but i don't have the cash. considering an unissued sks if i could get a new stock and some other doo-dads for it, but i really don't like how "eastern bloc" they all look. silly thing to get hung up on, i know...

From my post in the "What I Want For Christmas" Thread in General Discussions:

MEC 650 in 20ga for my daughter. *

MEC 600 Jr in .410 for my son. (or even a Lee Loader in .410) *


And if there's any room in Santa's bag (e.g. cash I finagle out of Household-6 (aka: CINC-House, SWMBO or Mrs Scout26). Then I would like a MEC Grabber or 9000 in 12 ga. I've got the Pacific DL-350 in 12 ga up for sale, nothing wrong with it, just trying to upgrade/update/standardize the reloading bench.

* Seriously, if anyone has either one of these for sale let me know and maybe we can work a deal.
