Chrome molly in an AR-15

Does anyone know what the difference is in chrome lining vs. chrome molly in an AR-15's barrel?

Chrome moly is not a reference to whether a barrel is chrome lined or not. Chrome moly barrels come with and without chrome plating, depending on the manufacturer and/or your specification.

Chrome lined barrels have a lining of chrome throughout the bore that inhibits rust, increases longevity, aids in cleaning, and even enhances feeding and extracting. It's only drawback is a slight decrease in accuracy, not noticeable unless you are a bench shooter trying to get that extra 1/4 MOA accuracy...

yep, your (pretty much) only choices in ar barrels are chrome moly or stainless steal, you can get the chrome moly chrome lined for an increase in service live, and its easier to clean, but at the cost of it being slightly less accurate (as a general rule)

so:
Chrome lined= longer service life, easier to clean, less accurate
Chrome moly(reg. barrel)= slightly shorter service life, more accurate
stainless steal= most accurate, shortest serive life
