I have never tried using my chrono in a light rain before. Does the rain mess us a sky screen chrono? I was sailing along on a 24 round test when a light rain started. Out of the last 8 rounds I got 7 error messages. Was using a new battery, fresh, just opened Dura Cell. When I quit, the diffusers were showing lots of drops and some running water.
Thanks in advance, James Nicholson

Rain drops on the sensors below the sky screens can make the sensor not see the bullet as it passes over the sensor. Think a reading glasses lens over an eye that does not need one. Things out of focus do not read correctly. Also you do need to have the correct amount of light coming down thru the screens onto the sensors. Sounds like a water drop issue and it only has to be on one of the two sensors.

I would think that your problem was a low light condition. If it's raining it's probably overcast. My CED M2 works great until the clouds roll in and then I get ERR messages. I'm going to order the infrared screes for mine so that I can still get good data over the winter months when it's gloomy.
