I would normally never buy a LabRadar Chrono as I am cheap, AKA frugal. I did tell the wife unit that when the stimulus check arrived I knew what I was going to buy; A LabRadar. At $559 it ate the check up pretty good.

While it was warm (30F) the wind was howling when I got to the range, but I wanted to play with my new toy. I was also the only member present, Sweet!

Coupled to my iPhone this is one sweet chrono. I shot 10 strings of 5 and the only reason I used a pencil was to record the string number in my notebook alongside the load.

The LabRadar is easy to set up, easy to use and sits along side the rifle, or pistol, on the bench. There is no need to set up sky screens, place the unit 5-10 feet in front of the bench or any of that crap normally associated with a chrono.

Granted, it is a lofty purchase but the Government meant me to have one.

After many years with an Oehler, which did yeoman service, I finally got a Lab Radar for Christmas a year ago.
Setup was the big aggravation with the Oehler, especially indoors, where incandescent bulbs were required. I did shoot a few skyscreens over the years, recently due to the offset on a red dot. Oehler was great about replacement parts.
Yeah, the Lab Radar is the way to go. It may get a range run tomorrow.

I pay plenty of federal income taxes and didn’t qualify for any of this “free money” being given away to others. You’re welcome for the “free” chronograph.
