I have the hots for a Classicballistx extra cylinder for my ROA. I've been in contact with Wisent several times and he's trying get some more produced but like anything like this, it's a rocky road.

In the meantime...has anyone here bought one that they'd like to part with?

Is Classicballistix making any Ruger Old Army replacement cylinders for you?
I haven't heard of any of them being for sale for a long time now.
Are any going to become available?

No, in fact he asked me to stop asking as he didn't want to keep disappointing people. If he got things worked out he would let me know. Unfortunately, nothing yet.

Hi abit,
I saw your post about Classicballistix cylinders, and was interested as this was the most recent one about them I'd seen for quite a while. Would appreciate it if you could message me back should you hear anything about them in the future: availability, etc.. You seem to be the only one so far that has actually had any recent contact with the people over there. I've emailed them a couple times about their product, but never heard a word back.

Regards,

I have been in contact with them recently. I have no idea when, if ever, they'll resume production. There is absolutely no point in contacting them. The cylinders I have I bought used.

It's a pity because they seem to be of very good quality. I got them in a satin finish and I was worried that they wouldn't polish up well enough to easily match my stainless 5-1/2" ROA. I was wrong. They polished beautifully.

1) They polished up beautifully.
2) They dropped in, fit and locked up as solid as the original.
3) The cylinder to barrel gap is .003-.004. The same as the original.
4) The nipple area is slightly smaller. The Ruger wrench fits in there but my nut driver doesn't. Nipples fit perfectly.
5) The cylinder notches and scallops are smaller.
6) The chambers are deeper, about another 10 grains.
7) Chamber mouths are slightly chamfered.
8) There are NO WARNING LABELS rolled int the cylinder.

I can't say anything bad about them. I certainly like the way they look over the stock Ruger cylinder. I had the warning label removed off the barrel of my ROA and the Classicballistx cylinder now matches. I leave it in my ROA as its default cylinder.

They shoot at least as well as the Ruger cylinder. I hesitate to say better because I may have just been having a good day.
