I have a Stewart Shot Maker & I use transmission fluid to cool the shot as it is being made. Does anyone have a good & easy method of cleaning the shot after it comes out of the fluid?
One method is to buy a wire fine mesh kitchen strainer.
Fill it partially with the shot, then dip and swish in a sink full of hot, soapy water, then into a sink of clear water. Use one of the stronger grease cleaners like Greased Lightning or Simply Green as the soap.
Spread out on a large cookie sheet and bake in a oven set on low temperatures of around 200 degrees until dry.
