I mostly load 45 acp and 44 mag using Lee dies but I've had new RCBS dies for my 270 for a while and I am now ready to do some reloading with them, once I get some powder. I like to clean the factory oils, grease etc. off and oil up my dies before I start but I'm not sure how to take apart to clean. How do I get the seater plug out of the seater die to clean inside of it? There is a threaded piece at the top of the die which has a lock nut on it. Anyone help a buddy out! If I try to unscrew it (back out of the top of the die) i stops at a certain point! The sizing die is simple enough but thought I'd ask about the seater die so I don't screw it up!

The seater plug needs to be removed through the bottom of the die. Keep threading (tighten, after removing lock nut) the seater plug until it falls out in your hand.

I use carburetor spray cleaner.

Of note, I also follow Varmint Al's advice and polish the inside of seating dies as well. THIS WORKS!!

2/3 of the way down the page...there is pictures and info...

dclocoI have removed the lock nut and screwed the bolt in the whole way until it is lower than the top of the thread do I need to use a small screwdriver and screw it in further? The seater plug still won't fall out. I shake it and it rattles but won't fall out.

Yes!
Keep screwing till it falls out.

And once you get them squeeky clean, put a little sizing lube on a Q-tip and lube them up very lightly again.
Otherwise you may stick a case one the first one.

If you de-grease with carb cleaner:
Too prevent the dies rusting later on, I would use some spray lube on the inside & outside, then blow or wipe off any excess.
