Do you wear saftey glasses when cleaning your autoloaders or any gun where a spring might escape?

I wear glasses for everything...from shooting to driving to reading to being able to see straight to falling asleep in front of the TV ;)

Good idea. Not only to prevent orbital objects from striking the MK I eyeball but also prevent the introduction of chemical substances (cleaning fluids, oil, etc.).

Ever since I shot Powder Blast (?), a citrus based, high pressure cleaner into my eyes, I wear some goggles when I spray my guns. It stung like a son of a gun and seriously wondered if I had really messed up my eyes. A good flushing with water and switching from contacts to glasses that evening squared me away. I rinsed my contacts really good and wore them the next day.
