Hey, all;

I have a SRH 9 1/2" and I want to make certain that I keep the cylinder/crane assembly clean. I've had problems with my S&W m37 and someone was kind enough to send me directions on disassembling the crane so it can be cleaned inside. But for the life of me I have no idea how to do this on the SRH.

If anyone has any directions to share, I'd be grateful.

Ms. Springmom,

Do you have an instruction manual for your SRH? In the instruction manual under the disassembly procedures, it will tell you how to remove the trigger assembly. Once the trigger assembly is removed, the cylinder/crane assembly can be sild off of the revolver. If you do not have a manual, you can download/print one at www.ruger-firearms.com.

I hope this helps.

You also need a special driver to totally disassemble the crane/cylinder. Be very, very careful when you do as there are two tiny steel ball bearings that can easily get lost, along with a few other springs, etc.

I got my driver from Brownells.
