I am just wondering if any of you gents use Clenzoil. If so where is the beet place/cheapest place to buy it and finally how do you like it? Is it worth the $20 for 8 oz's?
It goes for $12 at the gunshows here, and I like it as it has a more pleasant smell than Breakfree and some other multi-use gun products. It can be used as a cleaner and lubricant. I use it as such to augment the cleaning of the rest of the gun, while still using the bore solvent just for the bore and heavily carboned areas of the action. I also use Remoil to remove a little more from the bore after cleaning with solvent, and slightly oil the bore (wiping dry afterwards), rather than the Clenzoil. The Remoil pretty much dries completely and leaves some Teflon residue. Clenzoil is more apt to stay "wet" in the innards of the frame, rails of the slide, etc.
