CMP comment about "significant delivery delays"

I got an email from CMP where they talked about the ammo situation. They they were told by distributors to, "...expect price increases and significant delivery delays for all calibers of ammunition, especially for .22 rimfire." They went on to say they may not receive all the ammo they have ordered for, "several years". That sure doesn't bode well for an ambitious shooter hoping to get in enough practice to achieve a high level of accuracy.
