CMP M1 Carbine Order Acknowledgement

Received the following e-mail today from the CMP:

This Email acknowledges the receipt of your recent order.

We thank you for your order and request you not call nor email to check on the order before the 21 days are up. There is nothing we will be able to tell you until we input all orders ahead of yours into our system. Thank you and have a great day.
=================

I guess this tells me they opened my envelope, but not sure how long it will take to process all the orders ahead of mine.
 
Cripes, how did you even get that so fast?

I launched my order on the AM of April 30 (yesterday) per the website instructions. I don't even expect them to get it until the end of the week.
 
I mailed my order Friday morning from the local PO. Figured it would probably get there Monday. Then I read somewhere that they were not going to open the mail on Saturday so those would apparently count as being received on Monday. Guess I could have sent it in a day earlier.
 
Yeah Firehand, I figured that is what it was. Don't expect anything to show up in my pendig orders for a while, but at least I know they have it.
 
Dang, I sent my order in on Friday as well. I really did not expect to hear from them until next week at the earliest.
I gotta go check my e-mail.

Got this today:

Subject : Order Rec. 4/30/07
There is nothing we will be able to tell you until we input all orders ahead of yours into our system. You will recieve an email letting you know your order has been recieved; a second email from our order processing dept that your order has been processed; and a third email from our packing /shipping dept with a tracking number for your order/orders. Thank you and have a great day.

Just bought 5 mags from Fulton Armory, and will be ordering ammo soon!
 
I'm going to pick mine up personally tomorrow from the north store. The ones there aren't filling mail orders, and they said they have 400 there--so I'm hoping there's still some left, since that will be the first day the store is open to the public!

But geez, that's quick service.
 
Orested posted something about having another 5 days to place an order before he thinks they will be sold out of inlands, at the current rate. (this is the way I understood his comment)
 
Sent my order via snail mail from HI on the 26th, being fairly sure it wouldn't arrive until Sat. the 28th at the very earliest. After seeing that pic of the crates of mail received on the 30th (posted on the Carbine page), I don't expect to hear anything for a while. That's fine with me though, I can wait.

Unfortunately, it seems some people either "forgot" that they already mailed their order already and mailed another on the same day.. or there was a surprising amount (according to a Sticky post made by Orest) of people trying to get around the rules..
 
They are selling about 30,000 (or so I heard) M1 Carbines starting last Monday. As I understand it there will be no more M1 Garands until October or so.
