Old dog here looking into new tricks. My bench rest favorite bullet for many moons has been Sierra Matchking 168 gr HPBT. Great results, but has been somewhat rare to find at my LGS or brick and mortar reloading center. I was forced to order from an online source which is perfectly fine....no biggie.
While selecting the bullet quantity, I was also given the option to choose this bullet in regular or moly coated. Humm.....I stuck with my old standby regular jacketed.
What benefit (if any) would the coating offer? Lower pressure, less fouling, greater accuracy? Not sure what the pros and cons would be. Advice is appreciated!!!
