Cold Steel Grivory

I've had several Cold Steel products and have had mostly good experiences with them, but don't have any experience with the Grivory polymer blades.

My questions are: how well do they hold an edge over time, how we'll do they sharpen if they do lose their edge, and how well do they balance compared to a comparable steel knife?
 
They're too light to have any real "balance" in your hand.

The edge is not like that of steel, but it would cause an avulsion or break in the skin more than a cut if used on bare skin with real force and a peeling strike.
