I'm thinking of buying some, any users out there who give me their opinion? The demo video makes it look pretty brutal, but that is their advertising. Thanks.

Reading the stats, I'm dubious. "8% Oleoresin Capsicum, 2% Black Pepper" what the hell? Black pepper is a food product, OC is refined capsaicin, the actual chemical contained in black pepper and other peppers. Why would they mix those? So you can season your steak with it?

The other thing is it's 2,000,000 Scoville. 10% OC at 2,000,000 SHU is generally the stats on most cheap-to-average pepper spray. As a comparison, Fox Labs, the type that's popular with police officers, is 2% at 5,300,000 SHU. While I've not tested the types against each other myself, I'm told the higher SHU leads to a faster effect.

Unfortunately, I'm not gonna "take the ride" and find out, but I'll look into the Fox Labs products. CS video was pretty convincing, but there were some of the people they domoed it on that managed to stay on their feet, heck one guy even did a couple of more moves in a sword kata. I'm a big fan of their knives but I'm just not sure about this offering from them.

but there were some of the people they domoed it on that managed to stay on their feet,

Keep in mind that no pepper spray is going to plant someone. It sucks and it isn't any fun, but a determined attacker can certainly still be dangerous 100% of the time even with a face full of Fox Labs spray. It will, no doubt, distract an attacker and provide you with the ability to get away (at least in a perfect situation), but it will not stop someone dead in their tracks.

Not saying it is bad stuff, but just make sure you have some realistic expectations of what it is going to do.

Get the Fox Labs Cone Fogger. It's 5.3 million SHU & it sprays a shotgun blast. Probably the hottest pepper spray on the market. Trust me... you don't wanna take a chance with spray. I've seen people take a massive blast of other brands & keep on going, but I've never seen ANYONE take a blast of Fox without immediately choking & gagging.
