I am posting this question here because it's a very specific question about hunting regulations.

I did my research before asking this question and I could not find the answer.

The Rosemont Reservoir area west of Colorado Springs is a wildlife area. It is required that you have a hunting or a fishing license to even be in the area.

I'm really not a hunter so I'm not sure of the background of the law I just know that you have to have one of those two documents to be at Rosemont Reservoir.

I can get a fishing license for free because I'm a DV.

I have a Colorado concealed handgun permit.

My question is is it a hunting violation for me to carry a concealed handgun in a wildlife area without a hunting license?

Nope. get a fishing license so you have the right to be on the property and then you have no issues carrying unless there is some sort of property-specific rule prohibiting it, which is unlikely.
