What is the actual/most common name of the triggers that are common on the 1911 .45 acp with the 3 round holes in it. Also, are they usually compatable/easily installed on other semi-auto pistols?

I think the M1911 trigger you're referring to is a Videcki.

Thank you for the info, it is indeed Videcki. However, from my research online they are no longer in business.

"Videcki" is considered a style of trigger these days more so than a brand.

I just bought my first trigger, a Greider long match, from Brownells.

I put it in this afternoon. It was my second time breaking my 1911 down all the way. I used this guy's video as a help. Great video for newbs like me.

I bought some 220 and 400 grit sandpaper (only used the 220)

I made single/double strokes (one way only) on the paper which was laid on the table.

Eventually it fit right in. Took about an hour.

T'wern't bad at all.
