Anyone have any idea of:
A) The Model (I'm thinking a Colt Model Double Action New Navy)
B) Range of value

It's a revolver missing the grip with the following markings and the cylinder does not rotate when trigger is pulled.

Top of Barrel markings:
COLTS PT F A MFG. CC HARTFORD CT USA.
PATENTED AUG.5.1884 NOV.6.88 MAR.95.

Side of Barrel Markings:
COLT. D.A.41

Other Markings:
The number "192" is found on the latch and on the inside of the frame where the cylinder swing closes

218
014
is found in two rows (once each) on the bottom of the grip portion of the frame

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

First, as a .41 it is not a service revolver; all those were .38.

The 192 is an assembly number; the serial is 218014 (made in 1903).

Try www.gungrip.com for grips. I know they have the smooth wood military type, but I don't know about the civilian hard rubber type.

As for the gun not working, that is a pretty complex gun. Parts are hard to get (try www.gunpartscorp.com) and few gunsmiths will touch them.

The value depends mostly on condition, ranging from around $200 to as high as $1400. In any condition, subtract $200-300 for the broken grips and the internal problem.

(If the gun is in poor condition, the defects will render it of little value or basically whatever you can get.)
