I have pocket carried S&W Chiefs Specials for going on 40 years without a hammer spur problem.I may just remove/contour the hammer spur
Howdy Rc. I understand your passionate appreciation for the old Colts. This particular firearm will fulfill the role for which it was designed. This will be a concealed BUG to a Colt Government Model working armed security. Carried in a pocket holster or attached to soft body armor.I have pocket carried S&W Chiefs Specials for going on 40 years without a hammer spur problem.
All you got do is wedge your thumb nail behind the hammer spur when it comes out of your pants!
I really hate to see any more original old Colt & S&W forged hammers hacked up by todays modern "gunfighters"!
If you just gotta have a hammerless gun, buy one!
BTW: Yes, I know it's your old Colt they don't make anymore.
And you can do whatever you damn well want too with it.
But I'm just saying!
