Colt ANACONDA

I have a Colt New Service in .45 Colt. I paid $350 for it. It had been re-blued and buffed so aggressively that the markings were blurred. It had a 7 1/2" barrel, with a front sight as thick as a razor blade and a rear sight to match. It was accurate (small groups) but it shot a foot high and 18" left.

After trying everything, I cut the barrel back to 5 1/2", mounted adjustable sights and put on Herrett Shooting Master grips.

I've been offered $1500 for this gun, but it ain't for sale!

Everybody is bragging about trigger pull on new Python and Anaconda.

What about accuracy, how new revolvers compare with old ones? Couldn't find anything.

I had a four inch Anaconda in .45 colt back in the day. Sweetest revolver I ever owned. I can't remember exactly what I paid for it, but someone offered me way more than I paid, and like the fool I am, I sold it. I regret selling that gun to this day. And that was over thirty years ago.
