I'm new to the 22 rifle game - where do you folks find parts (particularly 10-rd magazines) for the Colt AR 22LR?

I've got both an M&P and Colt (by Walther) 22 ARs - have been able to slowly scrounge up magazines for the Smith, but so far, no luck on the Colt.

I really need some short, 10-rd mags for sandbag work.

If you know of some good vendors / sites that specialize in 22s, let me know!

Thanks

Have you looked at Midway? I have never looked for 10 rounders, and I am good for big ones, I haven't looked lately. Before I bought my CMMG upper, I did a little homework and saw that Black Dog pattern magazines seem to be the most common, and people like the ones with steel lips best. Do either or both of those rifles take them?

Here is the only place I know that has 10 rounders in stock
Holy guacamole! I wanted the plastic ones - not the ones made of unobtainium!
$39.95 is a wee bit (OK, a LOT) steep for me.

I actually found some at Cheaper Than Dirt, and despite their reputation, the price and shipping wasn't too awfully bad. I called and was told they had only one 10-rounder in stock, so I ordered on 10 and one 20 ($6.95 postal shipping).
Got an e-mail from 'em saying "oops, we have no 10-rounders"!

I immediately got on the horn to 'em to make sure they weren't going to ship me one magazine, and sho' nuff, they said one was on the way and they couldn't cancel.
I told the gal I didn't order one magazine - I ordered two, and I wasn't going to pay shipping on one (already overpriced) 20-rd. magazine, especially when it was the 10-rounders I was after (for sandbag work).

Bottom line - I told her I would just hand it back to the mailman and refuse shipment - she claims I'll get a full refund and shipping costs.
We'll see - I have a feeling I'm going to have to take this one up with my CC company?

BTW - online it showed it laying around the warehouse for over a day before it showed shipped. Methinks it's more a case of don't want to cancel the order rather than can't.

It appears CTD is living up to their reputation? (first, and probably last time I've ordered from them)

On a lark, I called the local gun shop - to my surprise, he found me some 10-rounders @ $20 each, and 20-rounders @ (I forget the exact quote) - both are cheaper than Cheaper Than Dirt, and no shipping to boot.

Have you looked at Midway?
I couldn't find 'em at Midway.

I lucked up and was notified by Midway when they got some 10-rd. for the S&W 15-22, so I got a couple (2 was the order limit).
