Colt AR15 Need help ref. Dating & Value

Looking for a date and value of a Colt AR15 Serial# SP1797**.The SP1 in the serial number is stamped like the rest of the markingings however the 797** are stamped differently. The gun is unfired and in the original box with the standard accessories. Just wondering as to value?

probably in the vicinity of 1500 bucks would be about right. it's new old stock which is always nice, but pre-ban means very little in the era we're in right now. if you're interested in a sale pm me with pictures, i should be around for another two weeks (leaving for basic training soon)
