Colt AR15 ID

I have a Colt AR-15 A1 style in mint condition. I was wondering if anyone out there can ID specifically what model it is perhaps by the serial number. Because looking the book it could be a $1500 -$20000 rifle and I need to know which. It does not have the forward assist and is stamped only with "Colt AR-15" no US property on it. The serial number is SER. SP73147
any help is much appreciated.

Sounds like a common SP-1 rifle, or carbine.

No Colt AR-15 had US Property on it.
Only real early full-auto Armalite AR-15's the Air Force tested, or later real Colt M16's marked M16 had that.

Your SP73147 would probably have been made about mid-70 as I have SP120xxx Carbine that was bought new in 1980.

RC, I saw some Colt AR-15 marked M16A1 lowers on rifles that had been converted to A2 while in the USAF from '03-'07.
