Colt Army Special question

I have an old Colt 32-20 Army Special that has been in the family for many years. My question is that I can't locate the serial number. On the left side of the barrel it only says Colt Army Special 32-20 W.C.F., nothing on the right side and the top has patent information. Where else should I be looking?

Open the cylinder and on the frame just below the barrel and it will also be repeated opposite to ithat on the inside of the crane.
