I may be getting a Colt series 80 Commander in 38 Super in few weeks.
If I want to shoot 9mm in this pistol what do I have to change?
I would think a new 9mm barrel, 9mm magazine and new recoil spring should do it. Is that right?
Wolff says Colt uses the same recoil spring for 9mm as for .38 Super.
Some .38 magazines will feed 9mm P.
The Metalform .38 magazine with their "round follower" works great in my 1991A1 and Springfield.
The Metalform Springfield Front Ramp magazine is pretty good, too.
You might have to adjust or replace the extractor to go from the semi-rim .38 to the true rimless 9mm P; but you might not. I have had one each way.
