Colt Courier bolt handle replacement?

I was just given a Colt Courier semi-auto .22 by my father in order to give my son (his grandson). The bolt handle is broken and needs replacement, I've located the new extractor and bolt handle at Numrich Parts, but, I would like to replace only the handle ($8.00) and not the entire handle/guide rod/spring assembly ($23.00). Does anybody here know how to remove the handle from the guide rod assembly? Thanks!
