Colt Defender 9mm or Sig Ultra 9mm 1911

I've been debating a new mini 1911 in 9mm for a while now, I've had a Kimber Ultra Carry 9mm for a few years and think it's time for something else.

The Colt and Sig differ from each cosmetically, but features are pretty similar. I've never owned a Sig 1911, have had a few Colts. I feel like they're both decent guns from the few I've been able to look at in person. I really can decide on one or the other, so feel free to help me decide.

Had a Colt New Agent in 9mm. (somewhat similar to the Colt Defender), with the XS sights. Decent gun with good ergos and no problems to report. I sold it when I found an even smaller 9mm. I liked more (Kahr CM9), and needed the extra funds for something else.

My Sig Ultra Compact 9mm is more accurate, more reliable and has a smoother trigger than my my Colt MKIV 45acp.

I had a Colt defender in 9mm that I could not get to feed reliably. Have no clue what the problem was. Traded it. Now have an STI Electra which seems to work OK. I have the SIG in 45 ACP. Very accurate. It feeds reliably.

It just seems to me that a 1911 in anything but 45 or 38 super- maybe a 22 ace- is "wrong".
