Colt Delta Elite Guide Rod Help

I ordered a wolff 22# spring and a Wilson Combat Full Length guide rod to upgrade my Colt 10mm. I got the 25G model from Wilson. I'm trying to install this guide rod and I cannot get the plug to go down far enough.

Did I buy the wrong model guide rod to fit my Delta? I did a bunch of reading and everyone just kept saying wilson full length guide rod. So that's what I bought.

No, that is the right one for any 5" 1911.

There is nothing to stop the plug from going back far enough, unless you are trying to use the GI style plug you had without a hole in it for the guide rod.

I GOT IT!!! WOOHOO!! Should of just messed with it longer and I would have gotten it lol
