You have a chance to get a Colt double action revolver for the same price as a Taurus and you took the time to send a question? If I were in the market for a carry .38, I would jump on that with both feet. Blueing is irrelevant to operation as long as the lockup is tight and trigger pull good.
Unless you are planning to run hundreds of rounds a month through it, get the Colt. It will never lose value. They don't make them any more.
Of course, finding a gunsmith who knows Colts' revolvers is getting harder these days, but a Colt is a Colt is a Colt. I might trade a Colt for a Korth, but not many other revolvers are as fine.
On the other hand, if you are planning on running hundreds of rounds a month through your revolver, consider a Ruger over the Taurus. While substantially heavier, it will stand up to the use.
