A while back I posted a picture of my latest addition - a Colt Double Eagle in 40 S&W. I know these guns aren't very popular, but this is a good shooting gun.
The attached picture shows two target that I fired from a standing position at about 12 yards. The left target was with Speer 180 grain Gold Dot hollowpoints. The right target was with Berrys 180 grain plated bullets over 5.3 grains of Unique.
The only problem I've had with this gun was that it had a rounded off slide stop when I bought it. It wouldn't reliably go to slide lock on an empty mag. I called Colt and they are sending me a new slide stop free of charge!
These guns were bad mouthed from the moment they hit the market. It's a shame because this one is a great shooter and doesn't deserve the bad rap.
