Congrats, that is one good looking Colt! I love the little Colt 380's, I recently just picked one of these up, mine is stainless and Colt told me it was manufactured in 1984.. So far it has ate all the ammo I have fed it.. 380 is a little harder to find around my parts but I had some 380 FMJ and a couple golden sabres and it ate ever bit of it with out a single hick up.. Have you found any holsters you are considering? Mine only came with one mag and a older style leather holster.. so i am on the look out for a couple more factory 380 government mags... I wish Colt would start making them again, out of all the 380 platforms I have held and shot, this one I like the best its like having a mini 1911.. BTW what kinda handles are those? I like em..
You're going to love it. It's a locked breech that spreads out the recoil, so it doesn't have that uncomfortable "snap" that small blowback .380's usually have. I think you'll find it surprisingly accurate.
I owned a stainless Mustang Plus II a couple of years ago that I re-homed. Didn't care for the big "Plus II" smushed into the slide. They are indeed very nice shooters.
I also had a Star SA Super some time back which is very similar in size and function. It too, was a VERY nice shooter.
