Not sure, the black Friday sale was 10% on firearms in stock and another 10% for using the Star Card. I said I will take that deal and raise you a gift card. Gift card not included in my pricing.

I shall have to pay attention and take my Military Star card in... I was very reluctant to hit the base exchanges during the wild shopping period...
Gratuitous Colt pics included...

I don't carry mine at all. Keep it in the desk drawer. Like those two pistols. Can't wait to try out the Colt. Already purchased new VZ grips, we'll see if I like them or not. I don't like rubber grips. Personal thing I guess.

Dh1633pm,

Your first .357. If you are going to
shoot .357s tomorrow, would it be
too much hassle to switch grips
back and forth to get a feel of
each?

I have tried Hogue, VZ, and wood grips on revolvers. While they are very ugly, I find that the Hogue rubberized grips are the most comfortable especially when shooting magnums. I keep Altamont and VZ G10 grips on revolvers I don't plan on shooting much or shooting 357 out of. Everything else gets the rubber.

Shoot really nice. All shots at 25 yards were high from center on the target. The grips work great, a little sting, and by that I mean a little. Very happy with the pistol. It's a keeper. Double and single action pull was nice.

Happy you had a good shoot and
the wood grips worked out. I
feared they might not sting but
really hurt.

But I'm stubborn. I think you should
still try the rubber grips just to see
how well you shoot and hit.

Be happy! :):):)

Same. I have aftermarket wooden grips on all but three of my K-frames, even the two Model 66’es have them. But I don’t shoot magnums very much through those 66’es, mostly .38’s.

With the L-frame .357 and large frame .41, 44 and .454’s, these DA guns kick a bunch to me so they’re are all sporting synthetic grips.

Stay safe.

I'm actually liking the VZ grips better than I thought I would (as far as the looks). I'm still using the Goodyears on mine, but I guess since I spent so much on the VZs, I'll put 'em on and try 'em.
