Colt King Cobra polish method

On the new Colt king cobra that was released last year, I noticed the there are whitish specks throughout the finishing. Now this model is supposed to be a satin polish that is shinier than the normal Cobra from 2017 which was matte.

Question is I assume it's not hand polished but rather somehow chemically polished thus leaving the tiny white specks. I this right?

I don't know of any kind of "chemical polish" that can be used on a firearm.

Guns, especially revolvers have to be largely hand polished due to the complex shapes.

I have no idea what the white specs are.
A good close up photo would help.
