Colt Match Target 223 ??

I have just received this gun and know nothing about it nor do I have a mag for the gun. It was handed down to me by a relative that has moved into healthcare. Where can I learn about it or mabe get a manual and a magazine for it? It looks to be in excelent condition. I can not learn from the member of the family due to memory loss. Thanks, Bigramjack

Sounds like you got yourself a nice AR 15 you should ask the guys over in the rifle forum for some help. But so you know any AR 15 Mag will work I would reccomend a COlt,Bushmaster, Or Magpul. The Gun dissassembles easy just pulll the rear takedown pin ( the large pin near the pistol grip) flip the upper portion away from the lower and slide the charging handle & bolt carrier out. You can generally find dissasembly and reassembly videos on youtube. My colt was finicke about magazines I would stick with name brand ones also my colt didn't like cheap ammo like wolf or barnaul because the coating would cause the chamber to get tight. Anyways you really should ask over in the rifle forums.

Maybe its a Colt Woodsman Match Target 22
not an AR.

If its not a .223, then it could very well be a Woodsman Match Target .22RF.

Colt Match Target AR are post-ban rifles for the most part. I am not sure if they still call them that for new production, you might want to check the Colt website. I like my Colt Lightweight March Target and it compares well with other Colts in the safe.
