A friend of my parents passed away a few months back and the widow contacted me about disposing of his guns. Nothing really specially in his collection, sadly many were in wall hanger condition. However this Sixties vintage Colt Model 4 in .22 Short was in the collection as was a boxed set of Butler Baron and Baroness Derringers. As Colt collectors know these were made by Butler for Colt. Years back I had one of these Colts that was attached to a picture frame, one of the rarer variants of how these were packaged. This little box disguised as a book was rather nice with the paperwork inside. Anyways I thought some of you folks might enjoy seeing this.
The Butler pistols as you can see were made to during the American bicentennial in 1976. Sadly this boxed set is not mint, showing signs of having been fired and carried.
