I am eyeballin' a very nice condition Colt Peacekeeper DA .357 revolver with 6" barrel and parkerized finish. I cannot find good sources of info on this model...can anyone help?

years they were made?
frame they were made on?
model line they are a variant of?
total number produced?
HKS speedloader/ Safariland speedloader that fit?

Thanks!

Thanks...I secured one: between 95% and 97%, original box & paperwork; 6" barrel and very little usage...the best used revolver purchase I've done in a long time :)

I put 50 rounds of American Eagle 158gr magnums, 50 rounds of Magtech 158gr magnums, 20 rounds of Magtech First Defense 95gr copper hollowpoint magnums, a few Remington 125gr Golden Sabre magnums, and between 50 - 100 .38 spl leadheads (there were 2 of us shooting specials and I lost accurate count)

I like the ergonomincs and the recoil absorption of the gun's weight and factory pachmayr grips; I disliked the fact that she was spitting out the sides between the barrel and the cylinder alot with the magnums and 3 people made comments about it; I also disliked that I was getting sprayed a bit myself in double action mode with the 158gr magnums ( I can't fathom that a virtually new revolver would have timing problems...if there was timing problems then the .38 spls should have been shaving off...I'm hoping the spray was from the gas blast pushing out powder residue) :what:

More than likely it's powder and gas spitting on you.
If it was lead you'll see the smears on the cylinder face and the barrel/forcing cone area.

Also lead spitting only occurs on one side or the other. Whereas powder/gas sprays forth from both.
