Colt Pocket Nine???

Been asking around some other forums but can't find too much info....so I thought I would end my long term lurker status here and post a question.

I picked up a Colt Pocket Nine at recent fun show. It was an impulse buy...which I hate doing but I was in the market for a compact 9mm and I was taken in by the prancing pony.

Any one have one of these?? Anyone know anything?? Aparently colt only made them for 1 year and then they stopped production on these--along with the pocket mustang and pony models--due to a legal issue with Kahr Arms.

Ker2222, you have a winner. The Pocket Nine is pretty much dimensionally comparable with the PPK, but fires 9mm Luger and seems to work fine with +P/+P+. I can recall at least three of them that would do 2" at 25 yards with the ammo they liked best, which was either Federal 9BP or Winchester OSM. Get in some practice on the DAO trigger, which is kind of heavy but acceptably smooth, and I think you'll be delighted with it.
