Today I took the Colt to a friend's place and we put a box of PPU 98 grain LRN and 6 Fiocchi wadcutters through it. It functioned perfectly, as expected.
I was able to keep my shots within 3" or 4" at about 12 yards. The gun is a challenge to shoot accurately because of the heavy trigger pull in either single or double action, and the sights, which are very fine and difficult for 55 year old eyes to see. Still, it was quite fun to shoot, especially at an 8" gong which was easy to keep ringing.
I'm looking forward to getting the replacement grips and will look into getting a grip adapter to make it a bit easier to hang onto.
