I was wondering if you can tell me what year my colt python is serial number T36561
Also Its It Good to real good shape help with a value would also be helpfull its a 6" stainless with wood grips

my guess is 1976

assuming it is a blue 4 inch, with perfect finish it is worth between 900-1400

Its newer then a 76 looking on the charts I have found but the chart only goes up to 1985 its a 6" stainless

Colt's public serial number reference only goes up to 1985.
The starting number for 1985 was T34453.

To get a production date, call Colt and they'll give it to you over the phone.
They won't give out any other info. For that you have to buy an Archive letter.

Value of a gun depends on the actual condition.
Assuming your stainless Python is in excellent condition, prices usually start around $1200 for stainless.
