All depends on what you want/need - - -

I really like the Colt D-frames, especially the alloy frames - - Cobra, Agent, etc. These are marginally larger than the S&W J-frames, to be sure, but substantially easier (for me) to shoot well, and far smaller and more portable than the K-frame S&Ws.

All that said, if deep concealment is important, I choose to carry my S&W M37. If that is not quite so critical, I prefer my old model Colt Agent.

Colt snubbie vs Smith J frame

The left pic is of a J frame and the right is the inside of a Colt snubbie. These designs were from the invention of the revolvers and the man who gave me the Fitz company sold many thousands as the main aftermarket company brfore and after WW2.
