I have read where Colts quality building the SAA was suspect for a few years. I then contacted a fellow on this forum and on Youtube (Duelist) who said that as of late one ordered a Colt they built it and was quite well made. So now I look on Buds Gunshop and they have quite a number of SAA for sale and for a cheaper price than what I have been used to seeing. Does anyone know if this present crop of SAA for sale are of good quality? It would seem they are stepping up production and one does not have to special order one. Thanks in advance!!

The SAA's from the last couple years are vastly improved over previous 3rd generation guns. They're trying to compete with USFA. Except for used New Frontiers, which are also being reintroduced, I would NOT buy any 3rd generation SAA that was NOT built in the last couple years without a thorough inspection and 'very' fair pricing.
