colt single action front sight installation

hello--- i know i have seen in colt refrence books before about the sight placement on old colt s.a.barrels setting them in by staking with chizel or punch,
can anyone give more info. on this subject ? would be helpful. thank you.

Colt single actions were brazed in place at the factory.
