Columbine: A Microcosm Of Complete Government Failure
By Michael Gaddy

A thorough look at Columbine High School on April 20th 1999, at least two years before, and all time up until now will well illustrate just exactly what we are faced with in this nation anytime we deal with the monster called government.
There exists in this example a history of deception, lies, and cover-ups -and when the truth is revealed, a criminal intent to deny any responsibility whatsoever for the deaths and atrocities committed. The actions taken by the authorities in the Columbine tragedy possess a haunting resemblance to many other tragedies of recent history in respect to how families of victims are treated.

How many times have we heard the claims of cover-up directed towards government agencies in the aftermath of cataclysmic events? September 11th, TWA 800, Oklahoma City, Pan Am 103, JFK assassination, MLK assassination, Waco, Ruby Ridge and Columbine, to mention a few.

The government authorities had more than ample evidence that Kleibold and Harris were both dangerous and represented a real threat to the students at Columbine High School. Although they tried very hard to deny this knowledge, evidence has surfaced to prove that they not only knew of the threat years in advance, but also lied to cover up this knowledge after the shootings occurred.

After Kleibold and Harris stole a van, they made death threats against a student. A complaint was filed based on that threat. After the shootings, the sheriff's department denied that such a complaint had ever been filed, but alas, the father who filed the complaint had kept his copy on the sheriff department's own form.

A year before the shootings at Columbine, a search warrant had been drawn up to search the homes of the perpetrators of this heinous act, but was never executed. The sheriff's department denied the existence or issuance of such a warrant for over two years, but evidence has been produced in court that proves unequivocally they were lying again.

The sheriff's department also covered up forms the killers had filled out while in a juvenile diversion program in which one of them stated his desire to kill himself and hurt as many others as possible. The pair had also written articles in a creative writing class that should have set off red flags to the village idiot that there was a real threat here. The only negative comment by the teacher who graded the paper was that you should not swear at people before murdering them!

The killers made videos describing actions that included blowing up the school, killing others and had even boasted on the Internet of their bomb making skills. They had even compiled a hit list of people they wished to kill. The parents of the slain students have been unsuccessful so far in obtaining that list from the authorities. One mother has still yet been unable to obtain the clothes her son was wearing.

When the first officers arrived on the scene at Columbine, it would appear they engaged in a brief gunfight with the killers. This was after two students had already been killed outside the school. This is reported to have been some seven minutes before any shooting occurred inside the school. The Sheriff refused to allow any of the officers to enter the school, even for some three hours after it was known the killers were dead. Consequently, the teacher, who had helped many of the students during the shooting spree but was shot himself, bled to death without ever receiving medical attention.

Next would occur that which we are all now familiar, the naming of a commission by the same government that just failed in that which it claims to be best at doing.

Like the other miserably flawed commissions before it, this one would not find fault with anyone in the government. They obviously learned their lessons well from their predecessors such as the Warren and Danforth Commissions.

Just prior to the Governor's Commission on the Columbine shootings release, reportedly exonerating anyone in government from culpability, the existence of the search warrant became known. Still, the commission failed to find fault with any of the lack of action on the part of law enforcement or the school district. They did, however make two absurdly ridiculous recommendations. One was to improve the communication capabilities between the sheriffs and police departments, The other was to disallow the practice of allowing two students to ride in the same car when attending diversion programs!

Brian Rohrbough, father of Daniel Rohrbough, one of the victims of the Columbine shootings, filed suit against the county for negligence in the death of his son. During this trial he presented to the court evidence of 28 lies perpetrated by authorities in reference to the crimes committed that April day in 1999. The judge in the case admonished Rohrbough that the government is immune from criminal penalties when it lies! The counties defense was sovereign immunity. They actually argued in court that they were not responsible for protecting the victims or the dying teacher!

The similarities in the case of Columbine and other government cover-ups are haunting. First of all, there are the projections of thought that only government can protect our children and us and that government is the answer to all social ills. In the case of Waco, the entire fiasco, including the fiery deaths of men, women and children was done with taxpayer dollars, simply to prove the need for the agencies that committed these crimes!

Then, when the catastrophes occur, as they always will, there is the immediate denial of any culpability by the force that takes a majority of what we earn to prevent such things from happening. Many times we are told that the reason these catastrophes have occurred is because we are not giving government enough of our money and that all this can be prevented if we give those whose incompetence led to the deaths and carnage, more of our liberties. (9/11)

Then come the lies. One after another, lies to cover up lies, lies to cover up failed responsibilities. Lies to protect reelection bids. (Iraq and 9/11)

Then of course there are the commissions created by those who caused the debacles to investigate themselves. This is the most asinine practice of all. One wonders what would have been the result if Charles Manson, Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dohmer had been allowed to conduct the investigations into their crimes? Of course bureaucrats whose very existence is owed to those being investigated, staff all these commissions! Imagine if you will the absurdity of appointing criminals and accused war criminals to investigate 9/11? (Poindexter and Kissinger)

These commissions have never found any culpability by government in their findings. Look at the absurd recommendations about Columbine. What meaningful results came out of the Warren and Danforth commissions? Do not forget for a moment that it was Janet Reno who claimed responsibility for the events at Waco and then was able to name the head of the commission that would investigate her actions.

Then, finally, if the sheeple begin to discover the truth and are able to filter their way through the cover-ups, obfuscations and prevarications, the courts are brought into play. They invariably rule in the favor of their masters. Now, who is it that appoints these judges to the bench?

Real Americans, they have all the bases covered. We the people will never see justice coming from those we pay to enslave us. Wake up and smell the coffee.

What exactly is it going to take for those of us still not comatose from government handouts to realize what we are buying with our tax dollars is gross incompetence and criminality on the part of our bureaucrats?

When will we realize that these criminals are never going to find fault with themselves? Why do we allow them to investigate themselves? How many more of our loved ones have to die because of sheer negligence and incompetence before we demand again our liberty?

Ever heard of "agency theory" ?

In short, that any person or group assigned with the responsibility of looking out for someone else's interests, will instead prioritize their own personal or group interest.

(an "agent" being someone supposedly actiing in someone else's behalf)

Sorry- get a cup of coffee and a smoke (or whatever you use) and move on to some funnier threads!:D;)

Typical governmental SOP...

Don't do anything until the SHTF....

When it does, do whatever it takes to cover up any apparent wrongdoing on your part....

And, as always, DENY EVERYTHING.

I've always wondered whatever happened to the :cuss: deputy assigned to security at the school who ran like a :cuss: coward when the shooting started. Did anyone ever remind him what "protect & serve" meant? :fire:

Here's hoping that a lot of heads roll for this one...

They actually argued in court that they were not responsible for protecting the victims or the dying teacher!
Ain't nobody looking out for number one, but number one. Columbine was a disgrace on so many fronts it's sickening. How the cops could stand out there and wait while those people died makes me want to puke. What is the point.

Seeker: You've got two out of three of the Government Agent's Prime Directives:

1) Admit nothing - "When it does, do whatever it takes to cover up any apparent wrongdoing on your part...."
2) Deny everything - "And, as always, DENY EVERYTHING."

but you forgot:

3) Make Counter-accusations.

This was a textbook government Charlie Foxtrot from beginning to end. If it had gone down any more perfectly-to-form, I'd have to break out the tinfoil hat and suggest that it almost seemed...scripted.

emc's Critical Mass Theory

Part 1 - When an organization, no matter how noble the purpose on which it was founded, reaches a certain size, its leadership will look out for their own narrow interests, even at the expense of those the organization is ostensibly serving.

Part 2 - When an organization reaches a certain size, it is beyond the capability of one person to administer, manage, or understand it.

Seems to me that we've seen plenty of applications of both parts over the last few years.

FWIW,
