Hey all, just thought I'd start a thread here to let everyone know about some of the upcoming guests on www.nranews.com and Sirius Patriot 144 for the "Cam and Company" broadcast.

For those who haven't listened before, this is a three hour daily talk show focusing on the political fight for our 2nd amendment freedoms. It airs from 9-midnight Eastern at the above website and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel.

Tonight's show (January 4th, 2007) will feature Illinois State Rifle Association Executive Director Richard Pearson on Mayor Daley's latest call for more anti-gun laws in Illinois; the head of the New York State Rifle and Pistol Assciation, Tom King, on the chances of more anti-gun legislation in New York; Jordan Austin with NRA-ILA on Shall Issue RTC in Nebraska, and Utah State Rep. Carl Wimmer on the University of Utah continuing to fight for anti-gun policies on college campuses.

In addition, we've got our features like "The Deal of the Day", armed citizen stories... and a big announcement to boot. Hope you can tune in!

This is outstanding, a national NRA talk show host right here on THR. Love the show and listen every day.

Perhaps this should be a sticky in the Legal & Political forum? Moderators? In another thread Cam indicated he was going to update this thread daily with what was on the show that night.

Thanks for the info Cam.

It's been an excellent show Cam. I usually end up listening to it the next day at work. A couple times I've been able to watch it live online and even posted in the talkbacks. Keep up the great work.

Ron

Thanks all!

And Gwa.45, do you still get down to Alexandria at all? If so let me know the next time you're coming down.

Cam, great to have you here! I listen to your show as often as possible. Some of the "Man on the Street" segments leave me speechless. I can tell that the guy who does those has to bite his tongue sometimes to keep from arguing when someone says something ridiculous. Keep up the good work!

Thank goodness for Cam & Company or my workday would seem twice as long. I love listening live, but try and save the shows for when I'm chained to my cubicle. :)

Thanks for posting Cam! And for all the great work you folks do!

I'll have to listen to the replay

I like that you can still hear the show later on if you go to the internet site.
I have listened a few times, great show and welcome to THR!

So what was the big announcement? I missed the show, very busy right now.

I guess I'll have to see if you have archives

Cam is a member here now? Cool!

I'll have to listen to the Internet recording--didn't know there was one until "gunsmith" mentioned it just now. But since my company's web filter blocks out almost all NRA sites (but not the Brady's site, interestingly), I'll have to wait until I get home.

Ah, the big announcement.

Next Thursday and Friday (January 11th and 12th) Cam and Company (and all of NRAnews.com) will be broadcasting live from the 2007 SHOT Show in Orlando! :D

There was someone in an earlier thread who mentioned that the show is usually more political oriented, rather than product oriented. Well, I can assure you that there'll be more products featured on the show next week than you can count on both hands, feet, and any other appendage.

And, for those of you trapped at work... a special LIVE broadcast time of 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern on NRAnews.com. We'll also be replaying the show at the normal 9 p.m. timeslot on NRAnews.com and Sirius Patriot 144.

This is one of those times where I'd encourage everyone to check out the broadcast on the web, since the streaming video will add a lot to the experience.

Cam and Co. 1/5

On tonight's (Friday, January 5th) Cam and Co.

Jim Dark from the Texas State Rifle Association on the upcoming legislative session (Castle Doctrine and the "parking lot" bill)

Todd Rathner from the NRA Board of Directors on a great armed citizen story from Tuscon

David Martosko from the Center for Consumer Freedom on the govenor of Colorado calling PETA a bunch of "losers". (For you animal lovers, the backstory on this is a must-hear).

NRA-ILA's Brian Judy on the call for more anti-gun legislation in WA State

And a pro-gun college professor from Massachusetts (no, I'm not kidding.)

Nice to see you here Cam!

I can't listen live anymore, since you guys went big time. :) I work nights but I listen to the replays.

I am listening to last nights right now.

And a pro-gun college professor from Massachusetts (no, I'm not kidding.) He must feel way outnumbered!

Cam & Co. January 8th

Ah, who cares about Ohio State/Florida tonight? We've got Jim Wallace from the Gun Owners Action League in Massachusetts on the latest call for gun control by Boston Mayor Tom Menino, lobbyist Greg Costa on the start of the NY State legislative session (watch out for more gun control bills), and Marti Oakley, a columnist for the St. Cloud Times that wrote a column about IANSA, Rebecca Peters, and the global gun ban movement.

Then of course there's the Deal of the Day, some other regular guests and features, talkbacks, phone calls, and more.

Cam, next time you get Richard Pearson from ISRA on the show you need to press him about going on the offensive.

We are always playing defense here and need ISRA and the NRA to fund a public relations offensive.

That's the one, Pistolero. She's a firecracker.

And GoRon, I know that ISRA is hoping to file a right-to-carry bill in IL this session, so they're not afraid to go on the offensive in the state.

Cam & Co. 1/9

On tonight's "Cam & Co.":

- Chuck Cunningham, NRA's Director of Federal Affairs on the number of pro and anti-gun bills that have already been filed in Congress. (Yep, there ARE anti-gun bills that have been filed, including one by Senator Schumer).

- Dave Hardy from "Of Arms and The Law" (and the guy behind the new documentary "In Search of the 2nd Amendment")

- efforts to change Las Vegas, NV's "pistol registration" requirements

and a whole lot more! Hope you can tune in!

Sorry for the lack of a post yesterday... we were going crazy trying to get down to Orlando.

But we're here now and set up, and we have a special live broadcast of "Cam & Co." coming up at NOON Eastern today. We'll also be replaying the show at its normal time of 9 p.m. Eastern. Both feeds will be available online at www.nranews.com, but the NOON broadcast will not be on Sirius. You can still catch it on Sirius at 9 p.m. tonight.

Cam & Co. Live from the SHOT Show

We're going to be busy today with looks at new products from Beretta, S&W, Savage Arms, Sig, Taurus, Springfield Armory, and more.

The live show is noon-3 p.m. Eastern on NRAnews.com (note the special time), with a replay at 9 p.m. on NRAnews.com and Sirius Patriot 144.

BTW, we had technical problems getting the show to Sirius yesterday, but they have been fixed, and yesterday's show will be played on Saturday from 9-midnight.
