1979 Gun World All American (i.e. old guy)

I carry a Kimber Ultra Carry II (3"SS 45acp). Contrary to any of the "detractors", I have over 1750 rounds through it without a SINGLE failure. Excellent accuracy out of any load I have put through it.

There's a lot of good stuff in here, thanks. I've posted a "for sale" in that part of THR. I had to laugh at the guy who told me to open carry a 10mm, I'm actually putting my Glock 20 up for trade, and based on the stuff I've read here I'm leaning towards the G30SF. I'd consider the Taurus PT145 Pro or the Springfield Compact, though I've never shot either (for that matter, I haven't shot the G30, but it's a Glock: You can't go too wrong with one in my opinion.)

One thing that worries me about the Taurus is their service reputation. I've had an Ultra Lite 44 Mag on order since September, my dealer keeps getting promises that Taurus is 2 weeks away from shipping them. I'm starting to wonder if their "2 weeks" is like Wimpy's promise to gladly pay Tuesday for a hamburger today.

I carry my Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry ll, Because It is very dependable and has the knockdown power needed.......
