Compact .45?

I have a Colt Officer's ACP: great gun, love the platform, outstanding trigger, but it's heavy.

I have a G30SF: like it; had some teething problems (trigger bar problem that seems to show up on some 30SFs), but works well now. It is accurate, but that is one thick slide!

Handled and shot a G36: like it as well and may get one in the near future. Slim and lightweight, the magazine capacity is 6 rounds.

FWIW: while it's not a .45, I'll just mention that I carry my G27 more than any other pistol I own. I find it the right combination of size/weight, cartridge/capacity, and accuracy/reliability for my needs. I carry mostly IWB, but the G27 and a Galco Yaqui slide make a nice trim OWB package.

I do... looking at a new agent now, and trying to find a Kimber RCP...The Kimbers nicer, as it has a melt job...Harder to find, though...They just recalled some New Agents...spring issues, I believe...

I like the Para c6 LDA 45 ,yea it has only a 6 round magazine but any regular 1911 mag fits as well its double action pull is easy ,almost same safety as a 1911,has grip saftey to.mine works great.

I recently acquired a Glock 36.
It's small, thin and light... the perfect companion to my G21

lay

a kahr pM45 next to those other COMPACTS and u will see what a true compact really is..

Just curious; did have you have problems shooting/carrying one or is your aversion aesthetic?
Regards,
Greg

Purely and totally aesthetic, without any basis in reality. :)

That Detonics Combat Master, however conjures up childhood images of Miami vice, so I think it's cool. :D

Also, I just don't see any reason at all for me to ever own a compact 1911.

I haven't found an outfit yet that I can't conceal the full sized version with.

If you haven't tried one yet, you owe it to yourself to handle and fire an HK45c. The one for sale on this thread is tempting and if I didn't already have one, I would consider it myself.

Try the CS 45 ether you will love it or hate it I have a compact 45 fetish "sig p245, detonics combat master, bersa uc 45, even a S&W 325PD I bought a CS45 took it to range amazed at feel and accuracy fell in love ended up buying a second one within 2 weeks H&K compact next on list
