Componet Storage

I've started purchasing Powder and primers. Where do you guys keep them stored. I know that temperature can degrade them. I have a refrigerator in my garage or is that too cold. The house doesnt get above 80degrees. Thanks guys.

I store primers and powder in a cabinet in my closet for temperature control. The bullets and brass are stored in the garage.

I keep everything in my basement (which is a cool, dry place).

You can use the fridge but dont plug it in.You want a Dry/Cool place and away from sunlight.An old fridge will keep moisture/sunlight out and keep the temp fairly stable,I have one in mt basement that I use.

Cool/temperate, dry place.
Away from flame, solvents and static electricity.

I keep primers in .30 cal GI ammo cans and my powder in .50 cal and "Fat .50" GI ammo cans.

I'm not sure you should keep primers or powder sealed in ammo cans. What if there was a fire, these cans heated up and the contents ignited, there would be no expansion room? Wouldn't there be a larger explosion? Just thinking . . .

Don't lock an old style refrigerator - magnet door can be a blow off panel

See the local/national firecode - I've seen model firecodes included with Hodgdon loading data - cool dry and with a blow off panel - some like an easy to move carrier to provide at least the possibility of pulling things away from a fire - a decent sized picnic style ice chest with an unlocked lid but a blow off panel is always a good idea.

Power, primers. and dies(rust control) kept in the house in a closet on a shelf where it is dark and cool. Other tools and bullets kept on the bench i the garage.

All are in my basement utility/reloading room. Powders on a shelf in their plastic bottles. Primers stacked on a shelf in their original packaging. Bullets are in assorted coffee cans.
