Computer problem

Hi all

I have a problam on this thing, I keep getting a windows message on my startup screen and I seen alot of knowledgible folks on here so I would greatly appreciate any help I can get. Here goes it says explorer on top then says windows socket error: (10048),API"bind" a red circle with a white x in it and on the bottom an ok button taht I push and it goes away but comes back every minute and starts stacking up. What the heck is this. Thanks Boon:banghead:

I also have explorer on this machine but I use Netscape 7.02

Thanks guys

I really appreciate the responses and I went to the forum that Mr Bombastic steered me to and I downloaded the program TDS 3 a trojan killer and it found a suspected explorar file and I had the choice to kill it or kill it and delete the file. I killed first and it was vanished from my screen. I restarted and it was back so I deleted it and restarted and it was gone. I think I got it now. I will let you know for sure in a couple of days. You fellas are a great bunch this was driving me nut. Thanks and cheers from the ever gratefull Boondocker.
